Default SSL routines:SSL3_READ_BYTES:sslv3 alert handshake failure

    Hi

The paypal button does not respond - cursor not changing to "hand cursor", and with the cursor staying the "arrow" nothing happens when clicking.

In the logs I see this:

    SetExpressCheckout, Elapsed: 326ms -- Failed
    (35) error:14094410:SSL routines:SSL3_READ_BYTES:sslv3 alert handshake failure

    Thank you

You don't say the version of Zen Cart for which you're receiving this error. Please advise.

Did you verify your site's SSL certificate (https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/)? Based on the log, there's something that PayPal doesn't like.

Actually this looks like the patch has not been applied as discussed in: https://www.zen-cart.com/showthread....56#post1261356 posted back in October 2014.

    Thank you.

Well, I totally missed that, I just fixed, it, ironically I had planned to upgrade to 1.55 as soon as it was available.

Anyhow by talking to the user it seemes that he was trying to click on the Paypal button where the payment options are presented to select from, sincerely I don't remember if it should trigger the express chackout from that "logo" (button), I just did a test, and when going thru the checkout process it does get to Paypal.
