    Idea or Suggestion Website not loading - blank page

    Hi ,

    not sure where to start but my works website has just stopped working , not loading , tries to load but
    just a blank page.

    Looked on debug log and it says :

    PHP Warning: Creating default object from empty value in /???/???/???/categories.php on line 1041

    Not sure if this could be the cause ?

    any help its appreciated.

    Doubt that particular log is of much help as it probably is an admin log and the date/time does not line up with an attempt to access. Is the admin accessible?

    First suggestion is to compare/review the includes/configure.php file to the admin/includes/configure.php and look for thngs like incorrect quotes, incorrect data, etc... Could post it here with the DB_PASSWORD and USERNAME filled in with all Xs if you like.be sure if you provide the admin version of the file that the admin folder is obscured. (Replace the real name with admin for posting purposes.)

    Now,here's the other thng that can help others help... When posting code, post between code tags such as: [noparse][CODE] and [/CODE]]\noparse]. These are easily created just before pasting the information, press the # button in the message box menu. Or highlight all of the code text then press the button, or just simply type the opening and closing tag(s) where appropriate.

    Part of my first post was a request to answer questions in the posting tips. Onesuch obvious question is what has been done to the site between the last known time of it working and "now"? Where "now" is when it was observed non-functional. The followup to that is what has been attempted to restore (no need to duplicate, also in effort to perform a test, somethng may need to be restored, etc...)

    have to be honest , ive compared the files but not sure what im looking for.

    all i have done in between the website working and not working was add 1 product , i have since deleted it.

    That isn't a blank page, I don't think. The site isn't loading at all. You might check with your hosting company.

    Looks like the hosting provider may be having some issues at this time (if 81.149.130.38 is the correct end point for your domain). As stevesh recommended, you may want to contact your hosting company.


    I'm getting: "The system returned: (110) Connection timed out for "81.149.130.38". The remote host or network may be down."

    Where are the Zen Cart Debug Logs? Where are the HTTP 500 / Server Error Logs?
