Gross productprice = Netto productprice in admin/product.php

Dear fellow zenners!

I have a little problem that is starting to become a huge problem as i can't get it solved

The problem is that when i open Zen Cart admin and i open a product (admin/product.php) the price shown at Gross product price is exactly equal then the Netto product price!
So when i enter 1 euro in netto price the bruto price immediately change to 1 euro and vise versa=equal.
Taxable goods (21%) category is off course set for the product and all the tax seems to be correctly configured; i think the problem is that the productpage does not do a tax calculation but just copy/paste the price to the next field.

SPECS:
1. Zen Cart 1.5.4

2. New website, no upgrade.

3. Dutch and German language pack + css buttons for admin + add customer from admin + admin notes advanced + ceon uri mapping (disabled because unstable) + css3 buttons + edit invoices/packing slips + encrypted master password + ezpages multi language + iDEAL sepa + IH4 + stock by attribute + xml datafeed import + ultimate urls.

4. Installed by ftp and then zc_install.

5. Server OS: Linux 2.6.32-042stab084.26
PHP versie: 5.3.29 (Zend: 2.3.0) PHP Memory Limiet: 256M
Database: MySQL 5.6.21
HTTP Server: Apache/2.2.31 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.31 OpenSSL/1.0.1e-fips DAV/2 PHP/5.3.29

6. No idea when the problem started as it was not live.

After setting to true, may need to logout of the admin and log back in (or clear cache/session of browser)... When Display Prices with Tax in Admin is set to true, if the product is associated with a tax category (that applies a tax), then entry in one box is updated in the other box with/without tax (depending on which box had text added to it).

Hopefully the test was performed within a single browser window and not modified in one window and tested in another.

Try these settings (has worked for me since 2007):

Tax Decimal Places 2
Display Prices with Tax true
Display Prices with Tax in Admin true
Basis of Product Tax Shipping
Basis of Shipping Tax Shipping
Sales Tax Display Status 0
Show Split Tax Lines false

Failing that, in cPanel try to change your PHP version from 5.3.x to 5.4.x or even better to 5.5.x
