easy_populate not under configuration tab and import error

I downloaded the easy populate from here https://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=868
it says it's compatible with 1.54

I have read other forums and watched youtube videos (Len Farneth) but that was for 1.5 but not much out there for 1.54.

Problem 1) When I install the EP it shows under TOOLS but not CONFIGURATION (I have all the files in correct directories)
I installed the install.sql patch via the admin>tools>install sql dashboard. I get the successfully installed msg.
Problem 2) I can export a CSV and it shows all the products. However when I add any kind of product and try to import it I get this error
even though all the products have a model number.
No model field in record. This line was not imported

I have spent a while on this and would appreciate any help.
P.S: I used EP on previous versions and never had a problem it all just was straight forward.

There is a support thread for this, you might want to post/search there. I use EP4, which I think has more support.
