Shipping estimator not working correctly.

When I switch back to classic, it works, but sets this error:

Which one is it?? does it throw an error or work "perfectly"??

Tableau has a custom tpl_modules_shipping_estimator.php which you should compare to the stock one

I'm, sorry. It throws an error, but still returns a correct shipping estimate. When I replace the tableau tpl_modules_shipping_estimator.php with the stock template_default one, it behaves exactly the same as the unmodified tableau one. I will leave it there for the next three hours, so that you can see what it is doing.

It only gives the error on the default template. On the tableau template, it only returns rates when logged in, or if I modify the code, like I mentioned before, and have it display as a popup only. I'm 99% sure that there is a flaw in the tableau coding, but I just have no clue where to look.

Think I found the answer but you won't like it. It is a function of the template, I.e. It only works with the pop up. As to why you are having to edit the code, I suspect maybe a file in wrong location.

That's what I was afraid of. I just installed a test site with the demo products, and tableau template with nothing else, and it only works as a popup. What's really sad, is that post is over a year and a half old, and they still don't have it right. Funny thing is, that when I switch back to the default template at the test site, the shipping estimator works fine with no errors.
