Colour Choice Available on Product Listing

Hello

I am trying to incorporate the wording 'Colour Choice Available' onto product listing pages when a specific attribute (colour choice, obviously) is used on that product.

So this would be somewhat akin to the 'Starting at:' function shown on product listing pages when a product's attributes have differing prices.

I have looked over some of the code to try and work out how this can be done, but haven't succeeded with anything.

Any ideas as to how I can get this done?

If color is your only product choice available on your whole site - you could replace the "more" text with "select color"

Thanks for the suggestion, kobra.

Unfortunately, we have quite a number of different attributes for varying products, so this won't work for us. The other thing is that a few products that have colour choice also have additional attributes (such as size), so even just altering the 'more' to 'select colour' on products that have a colour choice could be confusing, which is why I was thinking of adding an extra line.

What is the options_id value that is associated with the "Colour" attribute?

Well, I'm currently using the columnar layout for the product listing, so I'd like it placed somewhere beneath the product's name. I was hoping to play around with it once I understood how to put it in place.

Ideally, I would love to do what KitchenAid has done with the colour swatches on their listing pages, but some variation of the wording 'Colour Choice Available' works for me

That's not going to do what MortalWombat is looking for, since the attributes processing happens only on a product's details (e.g. product_info) page, not the product listings.

Although we don't currently use the Attributes Image Swatch, it is something we're looking at. However, as lat9 pointed out, we are wanting to get this to show on the listing page (list of products) and not on the product details page.
