Removing extra folders from a server for security reason

Hi,

Can I remove the next folders / files from live server in order to decrease the security treats:
docs
extras
zc_install
install.txt

Since my website isn't intended to support downloadable product can I also remove from the server next folders:
download
media
pub

I found somewhere that these folders can be removed safely without affecting the functionalities of a zen cart website. I'd like if some of experienced users can confirm this.

You can do this. Remember to turn off downloadable products too - Admin->Configuration->Attribute Settings->Enable Downloads, and set it to False.
