    Having a 0 there would translate to: preg_replace('/0/', '', $title); and cause the reported problem. Thank you for letting us know removing the problematic filter fixed the issue. For any who may come across this thread later, the default is blank (no PRCE filters) when installing Ultimate URLs.

    As per the support thread for Ultimate URLs, those "anchors" are required. For more details go read the support thread (this has been asked MANY times and answered with details including pros / cons MANY times).

    If you want "full control" of the URL, switch to CEON URI Mapping. Be aware you may need to leave / adjust the existing RewriteRules if switching to avoid potential loss of ranking in SEs.
