Admin not "talkng" to catalog page

For development purposes I installed ZC on my PC and running it on a localhost server. I can view my catalog site and my admin site without any problems.

Where the trouble lies, It seem as though my admin page/s in not "talking" to my catalog page/s. When, I make a simple cange in admin, (like turning off a sidebox), it does not show the change on the catalog side.

I am running the following:
xampp
mariaDB, but my xampp control panel says MySQL

Is there something I need to configure, change, etc... to make my admin page talk to my catalog page, or vies a versa??

Verify the settings in the includes/configure.php relatively match those of admin/includes/configure.php... You could post the files here obscuring the DB_PASSWORD for comparison.

I read the link you posted and made triple sure each line was what it should be. I did a step in admin => configuration => sessions and I cleared out something. I worked after that.
