Shipping Boxes Manager 2.3.5 Installation Error

I am currently using the Shipping Boxes Manager. I downloaded the recent version and the installation errors out when I try to start admin.

Error:

Is their any special instructions if I am installing a newer version than the version installed?

As the error message indicates, the function plugin_version_check_for_updates isn't part of Zen Cart v1.5.1. You can simply comment-out the fragment involving the call to that function and its return value's use.

While you're at it, make sure to change your admin folder name, since it was published to the world as part of that error you posted.

Your last reply allowed me to get admin started.

Now the website will not start. Below is the error.

Based on experience I think you might be loading the auto-loader twice?

when you go to catalog/includes/auto_loaders/

there should be a file called "config.shipping_boxes_manager.php" is there 2 that look like that? perhaps config.shipping_boxes_manager_1.php? or maybe a config.shipping_boxes_manager_backup.php or something?

I rename the files being replaced with _old in the file name in case I need it to recover. ea:config.shipping_boxes_manager.php

That's Exactly the issue, the auto loaders load pretty much anything that starts with config and ends in .php

So delete that file and it should resolve that issue.

Not sure if you are familiar with it but I would recommend using some version tracking system like git, so you don't need to rename files like that.

And you NEVER want to rename a file something like ".bk",".bak",".old", as that will cause issues as well.

Yeah, I assume your asking about the nesting percentage?

The nesting was modified to a company that shipped drums, this would allow them to nest a smaller drum inside a large drum. Does that help?
