    Default Deleting Account

    Hello,

I wonder if someone can advise me how to delete my account with Zen Cart?

I used to be able to log on here, but once I shifted to another provider, I can no longer access the account via this link, which I assumed would be where I could close the account.

    Thank you, Michelle

    Hi Stevesh,

So, if I can't, does that mean that it's probably not even necessary?

the link that you provided looks to be a wordpress site with a woo commerce plugin....

my experience has been that store owners rarely allow customers to delete accounts.

To me, it looks like the address is to the admin panel of some site or another, which if the site is not your own I would think the owner would be unhappy that the address has been presented for all to see, if it is your own, I would think that you wouldn't want to share it so that others don't try to get into the admin....

Then there is the issue/question... What type of account are you talking about wanting to remove? An admin login? A customer that makes purchases as a guest to the site which looks like is down anyways? Or are you wanting to delete the account that you have on the forum website?

It is not an "account". It is a set of files installed on your hosting account, using a button in your hosting company's control panel.
To delete Zen Cart from your hosting account, you can use various methods:
    a) use your hosting company's control panel to delete your Zen Cart store, if they offer that option
    b) use your own FTP program to delete the files out of your hosting account, and delete the database by hand, also using your hosting account control panel
    c) or use the File Manager offered by your hosting company to delete the files and directories for Zen Cart, and your corresponding database.
Your hosting company can provide assistance with all of these.
NOTE: Doing this will delete your entire store, including all products, images, order history, customer data, sales records, everything.
