Fresh Install- Admin login doesn't work

Just made a fresh install of ver 1.5.4. Everything went smoothly until I attempted to log in to Admin.
It appears the login screen accepts the username and password, I get the spinning arrow for a few secs and then it stops with me still at the login screen.

I followed the tutorial for resetting to Admin/admin using the sql code and adding the table prefix in two places.
I'm not sure why, but running the sql script did not change the table field so I entered the values manually thru phpMyAdmin.
I still cannot login. There are no entries in the prev_pass fields.

Would it be safe to rerun zc_install and re-enter the login details there?

Yes, of course if this is a "fresh Install" as you have stated....not an install where you have imported an existing database into

I wasn't very specific about my concern. I was wondering if I should delete the existing db and create a new empty db. I'm guessing it doesn't matter. It's not that much work to do over so will go that route.

What good would an EMPTY database do you??

Sounds like your server might have a problem starting PHP sessions properly.
