    Default Admin - Order status unchanged after x days

    Is there a setting to somehow send an email out to the site admin or any designated email address if an order status hasn't changed in x days? I want to get notified if an order is still processing after 7 days for example so I can take action on it.

    You're misunderstanding order statuses.

    1 - Pending -- usually means "Order received, but the payment method chosen requires manual verification"
    ... This is commonly used for Check/MoneyOrder where you need to wait for the check to arrive in the mail, then deposit it, before shipping the order.

    2 - Processing -- usually means "Payment completed; now we're just waiting for our store owner to box it up and ship it"

    3 - Delivered/Shipped -- usually means "the item has been shipped" or for virtual goods, "the digital-product-file has been downloaded"

    4 - Update -- this is a special status used to reactivate expired downloads on a particular order


    IT IS UP TO YOU THE STOREOWNER to update the status of any order. It is not automatic.

    So, when you log in to your Admin and see orders in "Processing" status, that means YOU or your warehouse staff are "Processing the order to get it off the shelf and into a box and into the post/mail/courier" for delivery. Once you or your staff have shipped it, you can change the status in your store Admin to Delivered/Shipped.
