You are supposed to import the "complete" database then re-run zc_install selecting "Upgrade Database Only"I have uploaded parts of old database

Yes I have Cpanel. I do not want to transfer everything, just customers and address book. I will build rest from scratch. I have tried to move these from old SQL to new SQL, but I get always some error message. I simply want to get my customers and address book transfered to the new zencart. Is there a simple way to do it? My host is Ipage and they refuse to have anything to do with the installation!PLease I need help here!!
It's not unusual for someone to decide they know enough about coding, etc. to feel that they can come up with an easier method to do something with Zen Cart other than what methods are found here. Most of us went through the same thing at first. There are some very knowledgeable folks here when it comes to databases and 99.9% would not do what you are attempting.
Here's the best help we can give... DO NOT attempt to just do part of the database. It is (as you may have noticed) a recipe for disaster.
Please see http://tinyurl.com/hs3cxk5. Read through it. Try your best to follow it. Murphy was an optimist, adapters don't, and shortcuts AREN'T.

DrByte posted a solution to a similar issue "somewhere".
What you are trying to do is considered a no no (causes errors like you are seeing) because it is like doing an upgrade and a server change at the same time...
A way around the issue(s) would be to 1) do as previously suggested of doing a database upgrade of the previous version (do so in some "secondary"/"tertiary" location) and then 2) transfer only those tables desired from that "upgrade"...
A method to accomplish the upgrade would be: http://www.zen-cart.com/entry.php?3-...d-of-upgrading
Just don't worry about the code "updates" and deal only with the database...

I've tried to do this upgrade from inside the installed 154, but I don't seem find the right place to start the SQL upgrade. I found under the ZC_old the different SQL upgrades, but not the button to start the upgrade. Should I start the whole thing from the start.
How come I am unable to get pass zencart license page.
You have renamed this as it initially is named zc_installZC_old

I am sorry, but it seems I messed the thing up. I was getting a message that I don't have admin/include/configure.php. This was there, but the installer somehow did not recognize it. So I noticed that Ipage when they had renamed it to zc_admin. I thought this is the problem and changed it to admin, but I lost the access to the store. The store still functions ok, but I have no way of administer it.How do I get working again?
