Relevance for service-intensive business?

I'm developing a graphics printing business in which there will be much interactive company-customer communication regarding the printing of customer submitted graphics and photographs. There will be off-the-shelf products ordered in typical retail fashion -here Etsy would be a model- but customers will be able to specify detailed parameters of graphical images and photograph prints that will necessitate much back-and-forth verbal communication and uploading and downloading of products in various stages of development. Is there some specific implementation-of/template-for Zen Cart that would best fulfill these requirements?

There is the facility to create an attribute that allows uploading an image file
Also you can add a text box for details
