new product field - suppliers

Hi,
goal : - add supplier table to know which product came from which supplier. display only in admin as a seperate module, being able to add new supplier, edit old info. display in category/products at a glance we are able to see which supplier this item came from. when adding new product, choose from selection box which supplier item came from.

so far: created new table called suppliers, recording - id, name, address 1-4, tel, fax, email, site, tax, company no.

can someone clarify the steps and files i need to change/create.

i have started following this howto, but follows a text field

Did you want to manage the suppliers in any particular existing menu or create a new one?

We could just add to the manufacturers module :)

There is an plugin that has been developed for 1.5.0/1.5.1 that provides manufacturer information that reading the intent seems like might apply if it works with ZC 1.5.4: Add Manufacturer Admin Column
