Gift certificates that have been used

I have a member that says he is getting and an invalid number when trying to redeem a gift certificate.
If I go to my admin and look up "Gift Certificates sent" it has a date to the right of this one that says 10/20/14.
I am assuming that this means that the gift cert has been redeemed.
How do I find out who redeemed it?

In the right hand panel, if you click on the GV, you will see:

Date Redeemed:
IP Address:
Customer Id:

This will tell you who redeemed it ...

This does not really help. I need to know what customer account actually used the redemption code to claim the gift card.
The email address is who the GC was sent to, not who redeemed it.

Let me explain why what you said does not help.
The email address is mine because I sent the gift certificate to myself. I did this so that I could print out gift certificates with the redemption code on it and hand them out as door prizes at an event. The person that got the door prize could register in my store and use the redemption code.

Here is the information that is displaying.
Date Redeemed: 10/20/2014
IP Address: 69.1.183.84, this is in the US for the state of Louisiana (no where near me)
Customer Id: Is my email address

This tells won the GC and used the redemption code.
What I suspect happened is that some else used the GC and handed it off to someone else after using it.
I would like to find the user that actually used the redemption code. Is there a way to do that?

Next to the Customer ID: it should show the customers_id number of who redeemed the coupon ... do you see a number or do you see something else?

If you see a number, then look at the Customers to see which Customer has that ID number to know who redeemed it ...
