    bug template seems not to work properly after upgrading from zc1.5.0 to cz1.5.4

    Hello!

    Could please someone take a look at this shop with the chrome browser or internet explorer?
    http://www.cameleonpaint.de/

    After upgrading from 1.5.0 to 1.5.4 something happened to the position of the slide area (I added the red dotted border for better understanding). The menu ("base line", "metal line" etc.) is not accessible.

    Viewing with mozilla firexfox seems right.

    What could that be?

    PHP Version 5.6.18
    MySQL 5.5.47

    Thanks a lot!

    wolfgang,
    there is a problem with your css that would need to get adjusted.

    in addition, whenever i see format problems, i always like to see if the html validates. your page has a problem with the meta data as you can see here:

    https://validator.w3.org/check?uri=h...Inline&group=0

    apparently the word:

    Zubehr

    has an unintelligible utf-8 character that would need to get addressed prior to the validator moving forward. it is in your meta keywords.

    finally there looks to be a permissions issue associated with:

    http://cameleonpaint.de/includes/templates/Cameo/

    you can see that in your footer.

    frankly, i would look at getting the html to validate prior to adjusting the css which is most likely what is causing the placement problems for the slider images.

    good luck!

    The unintelligable character is more than likely a result of a utf8/latin1 conflict. Suggest to address that issue by using the db2utf8 conversion plugin that is in the plugins section. Backup the database before using it.

    As to the permissions issue, it is a result of trying to use a directory as an image in this section of source code:
    Code:
    <!--eof-navigation display -->

    <center>
    <img src="includes/templates/Cameo/" alt="" /><br>
    </center>

    <!--bof-ip address display -->
    There's two options typical for this, either have the image reference to a 1x1 size image instead of nothing or comment out/remove the code that is producing that image.

    As to formatting issues with the upgrade, more than likely at some time template_default/css files were edited or added to and not carried over/specifically stored into the template override folders. The other possibility is that css files in the old template directory were not brought over to the upgraded site.

    Okay; I'll look after that problems next, but first I need help with the slider.

    "there is a problem with your css that would need to get adjusted."
    And thats the point I need help. I tried different settings in
    http://cameleonpaint.de/includes/tem...eet_slides.css

    But nothing helped. Some ideas?

    wolfgang,
    are you still having problems with the slider? it looks fine to me now...

    while you have now addressed the image issue in your footer, you have now exposed where your admin login is. the image in the footer is served up from:

    http://cameleonpaint.de/zcadmin/imag...l_zen_logo.gif

    from here it is pretty easy to decipher where your admin login is. that represents a bit of a security hole....

    i would change that image to something served up from the customer facing side, and probably change where your admin is now, just to be safe.

    good luck.
