    Default Removing **&number_of_uploads=0**

    Hello All,

I've read several short threads on this but have found no definitive solution.

We're noticing people landing on product pages such as:
    /index.php?main_page=product_reviews&products_id=2519&number_of_uploads=0

Search engines also seem to be indexing these "number_of_uploads=0" pages and the actual product page as shown below.
    /index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=2519
    /index.php?main_page=product_reviews&products_id=2519&number_of_uploads=0

Is there a way to prevent "product_reviews&products_id=????&number_of_uploads=0" pages from being indexed and found?

Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you use the /includes/init_includes/init_canonical.php from v155 on your v154 site, it will help tell search engines to ignore that number_of_uploads parameter when understanding search results.

Thanks DrByte. I'll download 155 and give that file a try.

I also have the option in Webmaster Tools>Crawl>URL Parameters to tell Googlebot not to crawl URLs with the parameter "number_of_uploads".

Are there any pages in Zen Cart with the "number_of_uploads" parameter that I would actually want indexed?

    Any comments are appreciated. Thanks.

The number_of_uploads parameter is only added when products have attributes, so that the system knows how many uploaded files have been attached so that it can loop through those for processing.

So, given that search engines are not uploading files for the purpose of placing an order, no.
