Default Multi Site & CEON - need to change the links generated by the language flags

    This topic refers

    https://www.zen-cart.com/showthread....50#post1308750

I have ZC 1.5.4 and Multi Site and CEON installed. Shop will be in English and German.

Came to the conclusion that it would be best to structure the shop in this style

    domain1/some-english-category/some-product-in-english
    domain2/some-german-category/some-product-in-german

Basically, all english products on domain1 and all german products on domain2.

Found out it is possible this way if I create the English descriptions etc., but don't enter anything in German. CEON complains that mappings for German could not be created, I ignore this warning. In the multi site module I can then configure that English categories will only show on domain1 and German categories only on domain2. So far so good, even found - with Anne's help - a solution to replace the auto-generated top menu with a manually created one.

Leaves the language flags to solve which always auto-generate

    category/product?language=en
    category/product?language=de

This is a problem if a user is on say

    domain1/some-english-category/some-product-in-english

and clicks on the German flag it would go to

    domain1/some-english-category/some-product-in-english?language=de

which is of course not displayed.

Is there a way to add

/domain1/ to the link generated for the English flag

    and

/domain2/ to the link generated for the German flag?

Or could CEON be configured to generally prefix /domain2/ if ?language=de
    and /domain1/ if ?language=en

    Thanks
    Jan

If you have two sites one in English and another in German -
Why do you also have language selection enabled??

Was hoping to have more links to the products that way and hence improve search engine ratings.

If domain1 sells products in English only and domain2 sells the same products in German and these would be linked via the language flags (without ?language=en/de)
each product would have an incoming link from a related website. Hence hope to improve search relevance/rating.
