It's a mistype. Should have said ensure these files exist.

From what I've seen you're really mixing things up and it's difficult to tell what is set to what...

The configure.php files need to have path information both in the DIR_WS_ and DIR_FS_ constants that relate to the directory in which the files reside.

You're all over the place...

What's your admin/includes/configure.php and includes/configure.php have in it, obscure your DB_ credentials... kind of too late to worry about obscuring your admin directory as you've posted it so many times.

I have multiple admin directories. I've been through the config files multiple times. It's now to the point where "It" forgot my password and I need to figure out how to give it a new password

Understand that there are multiple admin directories, but for some reason they are pointing at other admin directories. After thinking about it, here's what I believe happened.

I'm running 1.55a backend and 1.51 storefront
The \coins folder has 1.55 files and the \store has 1.51 (from a backup)
Mysql is patched to 1.55

So, what I think I'm going to do (and started last night at 2:00 am)
is to do a clean install of 1.55a then point that install to my database.

What tips or tricks, or helpful info is available?

I think I basically did this with the coins and store databases and files half-donkiefied - in a panic and rush.

Plus the godaddy file app isn't the greatest.

Perform a backup of your live DB and import it into your new 1.5.5a DB like outlined in this FAQ

That's what I did this morning. But now my problem is when I use the responsive template, on a pc, my main page is there, but no products or categories are shown. Works fine on a mobile, maybe I look at layout boxes.
