header image for responsive classic?

I'm using responsive classic and can't for the life of be figure out how to set a header background image i've tried

#headerWrapper {background-image:("../includes/templates/responsive_classic/images/bg.jpg")}

but no joy?

Have you tried:

#headerWrapper {background-image:("../images/bg.jpg")}

And also cleared your cache/sessions? Ideally you would try such a change by pressing F12 and then locally modifying the css to see the result. Once satisfactory then commit it to the css file/site.

Just tried the following using google inspect elements and it was finding the image but not showing as a bg image. I tried leftboxheading incase it was to do with headerwrapper but still no joy.

What exactly are you wanting a bg image to do? And do you want it on all devices or only in a certain mode?

It's to give it an indiana jones effect and it. Ideally all modes but it doesn't need to contain all of the image simply part will do. provided ot is 100% of page width. Thanks in advance.
