Orders not showing up?

I received an order, I know who it's from, we talked beforehand, and I received the emails from my store and paypal validating the order, giving it an order #, etc... but when I login to my admin area, customers » orders... and the order isn't there?

Generally speaking, PayPal standard is likely to result in this issue. Is there any business reason why PayPal express is not used? The communication path of PayPal express tends to prevent this issue...
