Default Re: Why does PPEC force split login?

I guess we're talking different terminology for the same thing.

I'm certain you don't mean: New customers would be "presented with" "paypal OR signup form", but rather that they would SEE both the "paypal button AND the signup form" and then they would have the choice of using one OR the other.

    Seems that way.

In a way having the PayPal Express Checkout button on the login page is overkill and can be frustrating in some sense.

Customer adds product to shopping cart and is "presented with" the option to use the cart "checkout" or "Check Out with PayPal".

Customer decides to use the cart "checkout" but is not logged in and gets redirected to login page.

Customer "New Customer" now again is "presented with" the option to "Check Out with PayPal" or to create account.

So I may just axe the option to "Check Out with PayPal" on the login page all together.

    But

Here is a link with the "normal login" mode. I have included the option to use "Check Out with PayPal" to see how the flow is and to show whoever is interested in seeing the "Check Out with PayPal" option in "normal login" mode.

    DEMO

Add a product to cart and click the cart "checkout" button

Note: this template a complete rewrite of zen cart using my DIY code and a work in progress

Yep, makes sense to me. The customer gets a 'second chance' if they overlooked the PPEC button on the previous page.

Yea, seems a demo was better than my umpteen explanations.
