Can I disable all of a particular manufacturers' products?

Hello,

I,m in negotians with one of my manufactuers and will no longer be able to list their products in a few days. I,m sure the situation will resolve itself in time but I dont want to unlist the extensive product list. I went into the admin and it asked that if I didnt want the manufaturer the inventory would be deleted too.

Is there a work around this or did I just overlook that option?

1. Click on that manufacturer in the Admin. In the URL you'll see an mID like &mID=999. Note that ID number.

2. Go to Admin->Tools->Install SQL Patches, and paste in the following:

update products set products_status=0 where manufacturers_id=999;

Then replace the 999 with your actual manufacturers ID number.
Then click Send.

That will disable all those products.

Later when you want to re-enable them, change the 0 to a 1 instead and run it again.

Hi,

Thanks for your help but there is one issue left. I went to the admin and ran the query with the correct id and the admin shows I have 0 products from that manufacturer but they are still showing up on the website. I've cleared the cache in the browser but they still show up. Is there anything else I should do?

Admin->Configuration->Stock ... is it set to skip displaying products that are out of stock? or products that are disabled?

It was set to zero set product to off when out of stock. I don't know why it isn't working. If we cant get that to work can you write me a script to delete the bunn products

I solved the problem by deleting the products. I appreciate everybody in helping me resolve this issue. I just wont do business with that company any longer.
