    Default Search Option

    Hi all,

Having an issue with the search option not searching some fields and would like to know which file I need to make changes to so that it will search different fields or exclude ones.

    Any help would be appreciated.

The PHP code for that is complex. It's in the default_filters.php file. But I recommend exercising caution when editing that.

More importantly, which fields do you want it to search and why?

Those index_filters are also overridable, so you don't need to carve up the as-shipped version of the file to try your changes. Simply copy the file /includes/index_filters/default_filters.php to /includes/index_filters/YOUR_TEMPLATE/default_filters.php and make your edits there.

If you choose not to use your customizations, simply delete the template-override version of the file and you'll be back to the default as-shipped version.
