I am trying to install the latest version of Zen cart.
It stalls when creating Database at 82%.
I am using a remote mysql Database server with database name of
zencart
Any ideas or can I use an older version of Zen-cart?

Are there any zcInstall*.log files present in your /logs folder?

How much of the database was actually installed?
You can use your hosting company's phpMyAdmin to see which tables have been installed in the database; what's the last one that was created?
zones_to_geo_zones is the last table
96 rows in the set
That's the "right" last table and the "right" number of rows. I'm out of additional options.
I'm reaching, looking for whatever unique thing about your situation might be a contributing factor. I spotted this in your first post above:
Lots of hosting companies do put their database server on a separate server. So, while this is not uncommon, and normally works fine, it does depend on heavy optimization with network traffic between the webserver and the remote database server, preferably over a private network and very high-speed network/internet connections.
Zen Cart doesn't do anything unique that would complicate that, but it does expect it to be operating reliably.

Yes, thanks maybe its because of having a separate database server.
I have the 155a working well on my laptop using the localhost, it loaded fine.
I guess I'll just have to stay with v153 on my server unless my hosting provider comes up with a solution.
