creating a url for a hidden product

Trying to hide a product and then give out a url to special customers. Found the thread on this (very complicated). Zencart is under www.mydomain.com/classes/ so I created
http://www.mydomain.com/classes/Hidd...six-strategies. I made Hidden status red and Books status green and six-strategies (the product) status green.

1. Do I really need the /Books subcategory since we have very few products. Should this be green?
2. In trying to make a url for six-strategies using www.mydomain.com/classes/six-strategies I get a 404 Not Found. does six-strategies need to be a .php or something?

Umm, really hard to answer the question without the link to the referenced thread about the six strategies or whatever.

and the product is Six Strategies to be a More Effective and Efficient Monitor
ID# 71 Books

and the Products URL I set up is:
www.pkasperassociates.com/classes/six-strategies

which returns a 404 not found.
