Website upgraded to V1.5.5; suddenly looks terrible on mobile

I just upgraded my website www.thesbeauty.com with Zencart V.1.5.5. The new site looks fine in desk computer but really looks horrible/terrible in mobile.

my other website www.best4future.com which still uses Zencart v1.5.3. It looks fine on mobile.

Comparing the two versions, I prefer the look of Zencart v1.5.3 on mobile. Is there any way to keep the same appearance like Zencart V.1.5.3 while upgrading to Zencart V.1.5.5?

try switching the template to responsive_classic.

Well, at the moment both addresses point to a ZC 1.5.5 site, the second one only has the default store and is using the responsive template. So it is difficult to perform a comparison of the two sites.

As to maintaining the template to look good in both desktop and mobile/tablet, it is possible to carry over the template, though there may be some factors to incorporate/modify in order for the template file(s) to properly function.
