[Done v1.5.5b] Chrome Browser 54.0.2840.xx cannot log into admin

Just had the same problem today. Tried the fix with admin/login.php and now it is working

Wasn't a problem for me until my host, Inmotion, moved my website to a new server. I was able to log in with Edge but not Chrome in Windows 10. Ubuntu 16.04 Chrome worked before and after the move without any file modifications.

The move of the hosting is probably a coincidental symptom. The main issue is the Chrome update, and their release schedule. Apparently, it first hit 64 bit Windows around 10/18. In my case, it hit 32 bit Windows on 10/24 (I know precisely, because I was working at the time. Talk about pulling your hair out). The Ubuntu edition may have not updated yet. Part of my search for what it was involved a Win XP machine that I knew hadn't had a Chrome update in a while (because it complains every time I open it. ).

Fix worked, thanks. Chrome must have updated late for me, as this only just reared its head.

It appears to be a Chrome issue on all OS's. Had the same issue on Linux Mint 18 (and 17.3) with Chrome Version 54.0.2840.71 (64-bit), applied the fix and I am back up and running.

Yup. Seeing the same problem here.

It seems it doesn't like the use of the javascript function name "animate".

Quick fix appears to be:

/admin/login.php

search and replace "animate" with "waiting_spinner" (3 occurrences)

Fixed for me as well. Was having the issue on Windows and Android versions of Chrome. Working for both now.

May I say again how much I love Zen Cart and everyone here? Couldn't log in to admin with Chrome. Came here. Found answer. Fixed. :)
