How to set up a different shipping rate ?

Hello everybody,

I'm using avonlee_contempo template.
just want to know how to set up a different shipping rate for different countries ?
based on USA as the default shipping rate.
For example shipping cost US$1.00 for USA , then..........how to set up the other countries ?
so the ratio are based on USA "1" .
1)Ratio 1 : 1.5 for Australia
2)Ratio 1 : 1.6 for U.K.
3)Ratio 1 : 1.7 for Germany
4)Ratio 1 : 1.8 for south America

Usually this is done by cloning the shipping module and then using zones such that a zone applies to each cloned version. But, some shipping modules also offer multiple zones within the module. To help further it would be good to know which module(s) are involved.

I do mine with zone rates. Products have a weight that calculates the shipping cost.

The different zones are different rates and it works out pretty well for me.

Here's what I use:

US:

0.1:3,1:7,2:9,3:12,5:25,10:40,50:70,500:1000

Canada:

1:12,2:14,3:17,5:40,10:27.5,50:95,500:1005

Elsewhere:

1:22,2:24,3:27,5:70,10:37.5,50:105,500:1015

Shipping to AUS costs about as much as to the UK or Europe.
