    Default UPS weight 3lbs more than real weight

    Hi,

    I just installed UPS XML, and it seems to work perfectly, except it adds 3 lbs to the weight of an order. So, when a package weighs 5 lbs, UPS has it at 8 lbs. If 5 of those packages are ordered (at 5 lbs each), then the weight is shown as 28 lbs. Is this a bug, or is it controllable, or expected? Thanks for any light you can shed.

    John

    It's a "default" setting in a new install of ZC.

    Admin->configure->shipping->Package Tare Small to Medium - added percentage:weight 0:3

    Change the right side to the tare weight that you would like. (ie. 0:0)

    There are similar settings for large packages and a "cut-off" point to differentiate between the two. There's a FAQ on it as well, though I haven't gone to find it.
