Nochex payments: VAT wrong in admin but correct on order confirmation

Nochex tried several fixes, all of which produced worse results than the original problem. They appear to have a conflict somewhere with the "Inc/Ex vat mod" So redoing the whole site in zc 1.5.5b and only going to use minimal plugins. Lesson learnt

Update: It is nothing to do with the nochex module. I just installed a new shop and the paypal payment was failing due to currency missmatch. The amount equated to the tax charged on table rate shipping. I turned the tax off on table rate shipping and it cured the nochex and paypal issue.

Next question has to be "why was the table rate tax ammount being sent twice to paypal and or nochex?" I really need to charge vat on delivery so if anyone can assist it will be much appreciated

Have tried 2checkout and stripe and both work fine so it does point to a problem with the nochex payment module after all

I have submitted an updated version of the Nochex APC payments package to the Plugins today. Check this link https://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=283 in the next few days.

That module is tested on several 1.5.5 live sites and works without a problem.

I will try it. Did you find there was an issue with the older one that added shipping tax twice in admin once a purchase had been made? If so what was the fix in the code?

No I didn't.

The module is installed on various sites of an N/Irish client. It started producing duplicated and even triplicated orders. So I obtained a full new file set from Nochex and we installed that - problem solved. Your VAT issue should also resolve itself with the new file set.
