Hi everyone,

I am trying to find a way of protecting my images from visitors copying them, when they try to save image as on right click of the mouse,
I would also if possible like to protect my pages that visitors view again when they right click on the mouse to try and use the save as option.

I hope this is making sense and thank everyone for there input.

Right-click prevention is pointless. People can copy any image simply by doing a screen-grab (prtscr button) then editing/cropping the image. Image Handler allows for a watermark overlay to be imposed on the image before it is delivered to the browser and this is the best way to make your images difficult to copy. But... customers like to see a clean, sharp and detailed image of products, so to emblazon them with watermarks which risk hiding or distorting product features can put customers off.

Best thing to do is if you find your images on other sites, send them a message to tell them that unless they remove it you will sue them for infringement of copyright. Some years ago I found lots of my images on a large European retailer site - a company hundreds of times bigger than me. I wrote to their Chief Exec and within 48 hours all images had been taken off. Turns out they hired a freelance graphic designer who did little design and just clipped images off the web. He was sent my letter, and the retailer Chief Exec also sent me his email address. I gave the guy a good bolloking and said that if I ever found out again that he was using my pics I'd see him in court.

much as I like the Chinese, they have little respect for (or understanding of) copyright. Socialism implies sharing, so they don't understand "ownership" of intellectual property very well. I have several suppliers in China, and many of them happily clip my pics and use them on their websites. When I approached one of these suppliers he did not understand at all this idea of intellectual property ownership:-

Me: - "I can see you are using my pictures on your website..."
Supplier: - "Ya... they are very nice pictures - we like them alot!"
Me: - "But they are MY pictures and you cannot just use them..."
Supplier: - "No no... they are web pictures and we get them from web... We don't need to buy from you..."

The conversation went on for a while and try as I may, he just could not grasp the idea of ownership.
