Idea or Suggestion I have a size attribute for shoes and jackets

and shoe size 13 and higher are an extra $5 all across the board
and jacket sizes 3X and larger are an extra $20 all across the board
Is there anyway I can make that automatic every time I add those size attribute to a product
Now I have to add the extra costs manually 3X for shoes for every item, for sizes 13,14,15
Thanks to anyone who can help or at least answer

If you make a generic "shoe" or "jacket" that already has those attributes and designations to them, then you can copy attributes from that generic product to your new product. A lot less involved.

    Thank you very much, mc.
If you could show me how to create this generic item, that would solve the problem of this question and my other one about how to insert an edited existing product as a new one
I have many more products to add and this would be awesome!

Create a product and mark it Out of Stock, so the customer never sees it. Set it up with the attributes you need and then just copy those into the other places where they need to go.

Why can't I copy the attributes from an existing live product? And can't you take an existing product and just create a new product and insert as a new one?

No one said you couldn't work that way. Can do that just as easily, the idea is/was that let's say you have some products that have attribute a with x values, attribute b with y values, and attribute c with z values. But no 1 product has all of those right now. With a "dummy" product you can easily use it to eother copy the attributes or copy the product and then copy in attributes from such a source.

These have all been ideas and ways you can work with attributes and for some it is how they do it on a "daily" basis. It's whatever you want. If you copy an existing product, there is a question asked about copying the attributes as well. So you could do that if the base product has at least what you want.

You can, just use the copy product button. It is located in the product listing page of the admin. In the buttons behind every product.

FYI, one reason to use a disabled product is that way you can give it a name that means something useful to you while in the admin and not have to go chase down whether the desired characteristics are present or not and not have to remember what it's all about. That's just one of those potentially "hard learned" tips that might make product management easier. :)
