CKeditor installed but not showing up in dropdown for editor

1.5.5b verison only add on editor ckeditor installed in renamed admin folder. Config file has the addition of the rename editor folder define. When you use the admin editor choose only plain text is shown. Ckeditor is no where to be found. Checked to see if the issue was the same as in 1.5.4 but all the correct files and changes were already in place.

What can I do to make the CKeditor show up in the admin so it can be used.

ckeditor is not installed into the admin folder, but in the root directory.

if I remember rightly, there is a file that goes into your admin. I think its editors.php . Check the folder/file structure of the module on your local drive. You may need to change any "admin" folder name in the core module/plugin (on your local machine), to your admin directory's name. Then you ftp the contents.

This is the original module, downloaded from the plugins section of zencart website. I just downloaded it and unzipped it and Dr Byte indicates in the 1.5.5 version folder that no changes are made to the admin file.... But this assumes you have a previous version installed.

If you have never had ck editor on your system and are installing for the first time, and are using zc.1.5.5 (a or b), then you need to install files in the module's folder called "admin_for_v151_thru_v154".

After installation, in you admin area, under CONFIGURATION >>> My Store (right at the bottom of the options list) you will see the HTML EDITOR selection options. Choose CK Editor.
