Default Can't access admin since host transfer

Site URL - www. joburgonline .com
Admin login URL - http:// joburgonline .com /villagegreen/index.php
    (remove spaces)

    Hi
We recently transferred our domain/website over to a new host. The transfer went smoothly other than the fact that we are no longer able to access our Zencart admin login page (folder name villagegreen) in order to maintain products and information on the website.

The site transfer was done by our hosts, not by us manually.

I contacted our new host, who said the following: (excuse broken English)

"So it looks like there is a coding issue with the path with the path of that , So you have check the code in the index.php.

Or you have to upload all that file to the file manager of the account."

    This doesn't help me much.

It appears almost as though the villagegreen folder is either corrupted or was not transferred to our new host, and has been subsequently lost as we are unable to find an offline backup of the folder to upload.

Does anyone know of a way to fix this?

Let me know if you have any other questions regarding the site.

I would have to disagree with what your Hoster said.

Going to http:// joburgonline .com /villagegreen/ I can see it is returning a 500 error which is a server issue.

Using your FTP program go to the "villagegreen" dir. Rename the .htaccess file in that dir. to .htaccess1 and see if you can reach your Admin. If you can you now know where the problem is. Even if you cannot, consult with your Hoster on how to correct the 500 error.

Thanks Rob - I started a new online chat with our host's technical support and forwarded this info on, the guy managed to get it up and running with a backup and restore of our files.

Recommend now also changing your admin directory folder name as that information really should remain secret/not posted. Newer stores such as v1.5.1 and above require only renaming the folder and then, if added and if referenced within, modifying the .htaccess file in the catalog's directory.
