Default You don't have permission to access sqlpatch.php on this server

    site: myairsoft-bbs.com

    version: FRESH Install 1.5.4

    plugins installed: ckeditor

What customizations have you made? NONE

What you were doing when your problem occurred? Attempting to install SQL, even the simplest one

What are the steps to reproduce the problem? Copy/paste sql then hit to make it so....come to a halt with the error message: (I am the only admin for the moment while setting things up.)

    Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /ADMIN FOLDER/sqlpatch.php on this server.

Have you attempted to fix the problem? no idea what to do -- did reinstall using fresh uploaded files 3 times to test both with/without ckeditor, same results.

sqlpatch.php is probably one of many "forbidden" utilities that your host has banned
Check with them to whitelist it.

Say fresh install. Does that mean that there is no previous database and that all database entries are either blank or of those of the demo products?

Fresh install means brand spanking new install files, installation with nothing in DB, then again emptying the of tables to do it again. The installs also had new files uploaded (deleting all on server to make sure I did not miss any).

Have found that IE can have that issue occasionally, I will usually press the "Switch Editor to Source Mode" button on the message box toolbar (first button on the left) to address that.

You can also confirm the issue by modifying includes/filenames.php changing:
    Code:
    define('FILENAME_SQLPATCH','sqlpatch');
on the right side to some other "less likely" name to be blocked, and then change:
admin/sqlpatch.php to match at least the first part of the filename before the extension.

Be sure to have logged out and back in. If it now works, then definitely yes is a host restriction issue (and can rather quickly get back to "work").
