This client started with me in 2006 and we customized his cart a great deal. One of the customization included a modified version of dual pricing back in 2007. It has worked beautifully. The client was able to place 4 price bands either in the product page or the attribute page (if priced by attribute).

From 2013-2016 the client left and had the site upgraded from 1.5.1 to 1.5.5 and redesigned. Now that he's back, he has added attributes to a product within a category and when he selects the attribute with a fee, price updater correctly displays the new price by adding the base price + attribute. However, when the exact same settings and attributes are added to other products in the same category, the updated price is the attribute fee, NOT the base price + attribute.

I have tested, reviewed settings, redid the work a few times, but no joy.

Any suggestion as to where I can look?

Not permitted to access site because of security in place, but sounds like there is likely a javascript issue. When the product is added to the cart, the price is correctly listed there for both/either product, yes?

the first item calculates correctly. when added to cart, it has the correct price in the cart and the correct total.
the 2nd and subsequent items, do not calculate correctly. when added to cart, the cart shows the correct price, but the total does not.

For the most part, many of the items in this store are priced by attributes and they functions correctly. it's most odd.

if you think you can fix, please PM me. if it's zc core issue, let me know how to fix or if you can fix.

PS: issue exists on the dev site as well.

What's the issue with the total? is it like there is one or more "cents" different between total and sub-total + tax?

I can see a few things associated with the page/site, though not sure that repairing those few things would be the end all/be all considering that the price does change, but does not change to the correct value. One thing to note, is that the product that works has product quantity discounts applied as well as a youtube video (not sure that has any direct impact, but)...

Yeah, although your DPU could use some updating, it looks like it comes down to not applying product quantity discounts even if there is no discount it seems... Welcome to visit my site for further discussion. :)

For what it's worth and I don't know the exact connection, but when I looked at source code of another adjacent category's product that had a similar dropdown, I again observed that there was quantity discount code and the selection of attributes did change the displayed price. Not sure what is going on in the background to have that type of impact, but it does appear that applying/activating quantity discounts for the product not behaving will restore functionality.
