Shipping address back to default after logout

We manually processed an order for our customer, however the default primary shipping address was pre-selected when we were going through the checkout process.

Customer now complains that he had selected another shipping address for this order which was other than the primary one.

We checked ZenCart looses the address selected and defaults back to the primary address once one logs back again.

Do we have an inbuilt function to save the address selected while checkout or we have to program it to do so.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have to program it or ask that user modifies their default address from within their profile. That said, programming it would not be significantly difficult where once they go to checkout_payment that the address entered in checkout_shipping would be stored as their default address, but then too the payment address would likely be affected as the two are typically pre-selected based on the customer's base address.

The customer has the ability to set one address as the "Default", via My Account -> Address Book.

Zen Cart does not remember anything about an aborted checkout if they log out or abandon the computer so their session times out. When they log in again to go through checkout, they're starting over again, so will have to choose their alternate address and re-choose all shipping/payment selections. This is the normal behavior.
