Idea or Suggestion How to add Attribute Images step by step tutorial

Hello, I was wondering how to add attributes images, but couldnt find anything on that topic.

Here is a good start, If you do not know what or how to add attributes.

But there is no information on how to add image atributes.

I dont know how to do that and it will be very usefull to all zenner if somebody share the right way.

    Best regards!

So there is also this FAQ that eludes to images associated with attributes.

Though really, it is difficult to describe how one can do something that can also be modified in operation by other plugins and may not provide as much benefit as one may think.

What is it about images associated with attributes that is desired?

My goal is to have icons instead of text for attributes, because I will use attributes only as READONLY and search filter criteria on product listing.
I already read word by word that FAQ, but there is no understandable information on HOW to add images and that is why I think this information will benefit many in zencart comunity.

    Thank you.

I found at least the image swatch.

When you click on the big "A" icon when you are in Categories (in admin) you can add the attribute you desire and on the bottom there is an option to add image, I did that but no image apeared on product info page, any advices?

Not to hard to add an image, just never pointed out fully perhaps. Without changing code or doing something complicated, you have to remember to add the image. The image is not locked to any one attribute!

The only thing the FAQ did not list was when to add the image.

    1) Have an image already created, sized the way you want it to display.
    2) at the time you attach an attribute to a product or when editing an existing attached attribute is when you add the image.

How that image is displayed is where it gets a bit tricky. There are built in display settings you can use or change things around. I used some CSS tricks to get mine working the way I wanted.
