Drop and dragging to image folder (not refreshing in Chrome)

zencart version 1.54

When I replace an image by dragging and dropping into the image path folder the update does not reflect via chrome. When I clear my browser cache then all is good.

The problem is customers don’t refresh their browser cache. I also make a lot of updates using large image files and sometimes those images are updated.

It would not be good if each time I made an update I must clear my browser cache.

Does anyone have a solution to this issue?

• I do not use any cache plugins
• does this on the Classic Template as well
• This Only happens in Chrome

I'm a little confused, is this a feature problem on the store front, the admin, or both?

When I log in via ftp and replace and image it is not update via chrome unless I clear my cache. (does that make a little more sense)

In that regards that is completely normal. There are many things which remain in cache basically for a set amount of time. Either the time needs to expire or something else to change requiring a reload of the resource in order for it to get replaced.

Most storeowners aren't changing their product images every day.

What's unique about your store that's causing you to need to replace images repeatedly?
