    Also, why didnt I get that warning message at the end of the install telling me to rename my admin directory?

    If you have a look you will see the admin directory was automatically renamed--part of the 1.5.5x install procedure.

    Is it safe to say you are up and running now?

    yes up and running. Admin directory was not renamed automatically. I think that was part of my problem.
