Hello everyone:
i have installed a small sales portal, I need sell in 2 currency US Dollar (USD) and Argentinian Pesos (ARS).
I create a product with a simbolic price (item u$s 0.20 + shipping u$s 0.01 = u$s 0.21 -> ar$ 8.00 aproximated) and puchase it.
All prices are correctly informed in Dollars and pesos in parenthesis, the payment was sucessfull

BUT the payment was done in ar$ 0.21 and not the ar$ 8.00 spected. Obviously the currency was not converted and mercadopago take the local currency as master.

I thing that the better solution is edit mercadopago module or zencart source code to multiply dollar * exchange before call payment API

Hi Christian,

I'm not certain your language pack is installed successfully.
To test this:

When you add your product to the shopping cart it should display in English as Sub-Total: USD$0.20
Once you select Spanish as your language, the shopping cart should display in ARS$8.00.

I'd be happy to help you get this solved.

I am not shure that the showed currency change when the language is changed can be an optimal method to work. I think that i must keep the spanish for 20 different countries, and those customers will pay in dollar. Really credit card will do the exchange but i receive usd dollar on my paypal account. And only argentinian customers must pay in pesos ARS ( HERE exist a regulation that forbid to paypal that one argentinian account pay to other argentinian account).

I think that the better work is edit the source code to trap the moment when the zencart call to mercadopago and apply the exchange rate.

I see the menus, and items in the right language and when i add one item i write a description for each language and is fine, even i see both prices as the following example: "Item ballon u$s 1 ( ar$ 40)" with the right exchange rate.

The payment module (mercadopago) will need to follow/use the currency and language settings if they have not been configured/coded.

i know you have reason, and i wrote to them. But they say that my only currency must be pesos (ARS). I want receive dollars for non argentinian people. So i want edit the source code to apply the exchange but i cannot find where touch.
I am trying to avoid setup 2 differents stores (one for each payment method)
