Default Changing Email header depending on Payment method

    Hi

We have just launched our new website. We have a payment method called Proforma Invoice. A proforma invoice is not an order as such, we need to change the subject of the email when someone chooses this method of payment.

So when someone selects Proforma Invoice at the checkout and goes through the checkout process, instead of the acknowledgement email having a subject of:

Order Confirmation no: 1 from ABC Company
it instead has a subject of:

    Proforma Invoice form ABC Company
Is this easy to implement? If so, please could anyone help? I can follow step by step instructions.

    Many thanks in advance

i would not describe it as "easy".

the email gets created in the includes/classes/order.php

within there is a constant called EMAIL_TEXT_SUBJECT which contains 'Order Confirmation'.

you would need to change that based on the payment method.

there are other elements, ie the order number and company name, that get concatenated to the subject from within that script as well.

it's not particularly hard, but if you do not know your way around php, it might be a bit of a challenge.

    good luck!

Thanks Carl. I knew which file to look under, but only know very basic PHP. As I said I can follow step by step instructions, but thats about it.

I'm assuming this would be if/else statement, but have no idea what else!!
