changing logo

I'm working on a site for a friend. A couple of days ago, I was able to find a thread about changing the logo. It told me to upload to three different places, and to change the image name and sizes in the header file. I did so, and the logo changed to what I wanted. Fastforward to today...I'm trying to again change the logo, as it did not look right. Can I find that original post? No, I cannot! I've changed the info in the header file, and I believe I got that part right. I've uploaded to the places I thought I had originally uploaded. I overwrote the original files. I'm clearly missing something, because it's pulling the original file, but changing it to the new size....so it's bloated and really weird looking. Help! What am I missing?

If by got it you mean you found the post that helped, perhaps you could 1) do yourself a favor by referencing it here so you could look back on threads you started and easily find it, 2) post it here to help others that came across the same issue and would like to resolve it, or 3) identify what you did to resolve the issue which supports both 1 and 2 above. :)

I never did find the thread again. And I'm not entirely sure why what I did worked, as I'm sure it's what I had done to begin with. But I renamed the image, changed the name in the header file, and uploaded it to the template image folder.

The other thing I've spent a ton of time doing today is clearing my browser history and deleting my cookies. For whatever reason, it kept seeming as thought nothing I did was taking...until I cleared my history.
