Default working on a windows server - migration to one with problems

If this needs to be put in another forum, please move.

All sorts of problems that would be corrected by the client changing hosting and upgrading but in the meantime:

Godaddy moved her site to a new server. I do not know if she was on a windows server before but she is now. The site has only one problem - some sort of database error in admin. WARNING: An Error occurred, please refresh the page and try again.

I cannot get log files to work and am waiting for control panel access (if she even has it) to see what I can do. I'm definitely a linux person but I have done some of this before on windows.

So is there another easy way to get errors displayed? Would changing the type of error suppression work on windows? First steps?

Would suggest reading the full article on that message: https://www.zen-cart.com/content.php...-and-try-again

It includes instruction to enable strict error reporting which can be done for the admin side only.

Although the "system" is different, php is still the driving force. My guess with the system being ZC 1.5.1 it likely relates to the use of 0 for the autonumber type database actions instead of letting the system figure out what number to use next. That at least has been one thing I had to deal with way back when I installed ZC 1.5.1 to my local PC that wasn't setup as a LAMP.
