Page Generator Tool

Hi all,

Just a quick one, in the hope that at some point this may save somebody some time!

I've made a tool that allows you to generate the required files to add a new page to Zen Cart (set up in the same way as page_1, page_2 etc, not EZ Pages).

Why not package this "tool" as a plugin and post to the forum?

It's more accessible as a hosted tool, in my opinion.

Yes! I have recently rediscovered this gem and it's excellent.

And what happens if you decide to quit your site tomorrow, then the tool is no longer available.

I think it would be a good idea for the Zen Cart Developers to create a tool in the admin that generates a blank define page from a similar form. However, since we use GIT, this hosted tool is better as it allows us to more easily download the files. If the dev team creates a tool, it could make a downloadable zip file rather than create the files on the server.

Since you're also a Zen Cart developer, you're welcome to create a PR on the Zen Cart GitHub repository (https://github.com/zencart/zencart).
