Multi Zip code based delivery problem

Hi,
I'm using ZC 1.5.5e
I've searched and installed and uninstalled until I'm crosseyed and still can't figure out the best way to do zip code based delivery costs, or, geo-based (the farther from the store, the higher the delivery cost). We are a florist and our delivery costs vary as to certain zip codes in our area. I've tried using the ZipShip module, but I can't get it to do anything at all. I've also tried a half dozen others but none do what I need.

Any suggestions, directions, or frisbee tosses would be greatly appreciated.

First of all, I wasn't looking for support for the ZipShip module. I was looking for someone to point me in the direction of a mod or fix that will do what I need it to do. However, if you think you can get ZipShip working for me, I'll gladly join that thread as well. Please though, don't consider my request closed. I still would like more help on finding a delivery by zip or distance mod.
