from 1.5.1 to 1.5.5e - login and registration problem

Hello,

We are upgrading from 1.5.1 to 1.5.5e and everything looks fine except 2 important things:
1) It's impossible to login as a customer, website says e-mail or login are incorrect (they are correct in fact)
2) It's impossible to create new customer account, at the bottom line where we should choose the country we got: WARNING: An Error occurred, please refresh the page and try again

After checking it seems to be database related problem with a table called zc_countries. This table exists and entries looks OK as well. Deleting this table and re-creating doesn't work. It doesn't matter if we use Zen Cart control panel or PHPMyAdmin for this purpose.

INSERT INTO zc_countries (countries_id, countries_name, countries_iso_code_2, countries_iso_code_3, address_format_id) VALUES (170,'Poland','PL','POL','1');

should do the trick, but it doesn't...

Brand new installation it's impossible too, it stalls with admin's e-mail ("Please match required format"), when e-mail address is 100% valid.

Any suggestions?

PHP version is 5.6

OK, problem solved.

If anyone could need it in the future, the solution is:
1) Copy just zc_install folder to your older installation
2) Run yourwebsiteaddress/zencartpath/zc_install
3) Run all checked version upgrades at once

The problem was caused by omitted zc_install steps between the oldest version and the newest one.

Quite correct, since additional fields (status) were added to the [zc_]countries table between Zen Cart 1.5.1 and 1.5.5.
